The F Word

On the verge of this year's important Presidential election comes a stark reminder of our past in The F Word. In it, "F" means several things, including freedom, First Amendment and facts. This docudrama follows Joe Pace (Josh Hamilton) as he broadcasts his final radio show during the 2004 Republican National Convention before he gets shut down by the FCC for indecency charges.

What's interesting about this movie is that it takes us to the streets of New York City, following around tons of protesters outside the convention, something which was unreported in the news. Joe does a terrific job of narrating the different aspects of what he's reporting on, in addition to running into several entertaining people posing as protesters (the drama part).

All in all, it's fairly entertaining, however, it's sad to see how many people just protest for protest's sake. It's typical, though, so it's not fair to expect balanced issues. The concept is admittedly clever and the acting is supurb, so check it out if you have a spare political moment amidst the Obama/McCain fighting.
