Bad Bunny sent Gay Twitter into paroxysms as the latest hunk to lead a Calvin Klein underwear campaign.
In a campaign "shot by the legendary Mario Sorrenti," the smoldering Puerto Rican recording artist "joins the esteemed likes of Jeremy Allen White, Justin Bieber, Jeremy Pope, and, of course, Mark Wahlberg in the CK history books," GQ reported.
The prospect of stripping to CK skivvies for the shoot meant that the singer needed to prepare, and prepare he did, despite also being busy with promotional duties around the release of his latest album.
"I was eating super clean and training as much as possible," Bad Bunny told GQ, which noted that "he was prepping for the shoot while promoting 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos' in New York City, which he calls his favorite city to go out to eat."
Indeed, food may have been the hardest sacrifice – and Bad Bunny was ready to make up for lost time (and entrees) as soon as the camera shutter stopped clicking.
"All I could think about once we wrapped the campaign was eating everything on the menu at Lala," Bad Bunny remarked to GQ. "But what I was craving the most were the Manchego croquetas and the crispy tuna rice."
The hard work and discipline paid off: The campaign's images are nothing short of stunning.
Bad Bunny had a little input of his own for the campaign's direction, GQ relayed.
"The easiest and most impactful way for me to put my signature on any project is always through music," the "Dákiti" singer told GQ, which pointed out that a video for the CK campaign features the song "EoO" from his new album.
It wasn't just the music choice that centered Bad Bunny's love for Puerto Rico. The campaign was shot there, too, the music maker said. Rolling Stone reported that the singer declared in a release, "I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this brand's iconic campaign, and getting to shoot it in Puerto Rico made it that much more special and genuine."
Gay Twitter went wild for Bad Bunny's underwear campaign. Check out some of the responses.
"In just a few months, Bad Bunny will headline his upcoming residency at the 'El Choli' Coliseo de Puerto Rico from July to September, playing 30 shows in support of his sixth studio album," Rolling Stone noted.
