Did Zachary Quinto Just Get Caught Being a Diva at a Restaurant?

Emell Adolphus READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Actor Zachary Quinto just got majorly called out for his alleged behavior at a trendy restaurant in Toronto.

Apparently, Quinto acted so bad on a recent visit that a restaurant called Manita took to Instagram to personally call out the actor for being a terrible customer, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn't reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren't available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for," the restaurant wrote. "Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners feel uncomfortable."

Yikes.

And that's not all. The restaurant concluded with a message: "Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities joining us at Manita but you are NOT one of them."

In another post on June 3, Manita shared that it is "deeply grateful for our most incredible, friendly, gracious guests... who may give us constructive feedback from time to time." And then dissed Quinto again, saying: "To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere: We aren't above criticism, but we are above being demeaned."

Some applauded the restaurant for holding Quinto to account for however he may have acted at the time.

"Everyone should be called out for this kind of treatment of service staff! Celebrity or not! Good for you guys!" wrote one social media commentator.

However, some felt the restaurant was being petty. One social media commentator wrote: "I'm no fan of his but it seems petty and opportunistic to post this about a customer, regardless of their fame when it fact it's ONLY because of their fame. If it were say, me, a nobody to the public you'd simply ban me and that would be that. Using a high profile person to go viral is peak cheap marketing. Effective perhaps but quite sad."

Was the way Manita called out Quinto justified or just distasteful? Tell us in comments.

So far, Quinto has not responded publicly to the restaurant's claims.
