Stay Flawless, Say 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Queens

After making their name and fame on "RuPaul's Drag Race," the drag queens Shangela, Trixie Mattel, Manila Luzon, and Tammie Brown have come together for a fun project that will have you LOLing. They've teamed up with This Free Life to create a video showing their best asset and how they keep their look flawless.

"I'm known for my cute face and flawless skin," says Shangela, drag queen, comedian, and blogger who competed on "RPDR" Seasons 2 and 3. Halleloo to you, girl!

Shangela just wrapped up a six-month residency at the Paris Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, doing 120 shows this summer alone! Now that it's wrapped, she's excited about her upcoming projects, saying, "I just released a new single at New York Fashion Week called 'Fashion Werk,' as well as a 20-city tour that includes dates from Texas to New York, and more!" said Shangela. "I'll be doing a two-week tour in the UK in December, and then to round out the year, I'll be crowned queen of the White Party -- Bangkok, Thailand's New Year's Eve bash. I'll also be returning to film the fourth season of 'Cocktails and Classics' on Logo, with host Michael Urie."

Being a role model for LGBTQ youth is her passion, and she makes a good impression by performing at college and university campuses through the U.S., as well as at a number of LGBTQ organizations, including the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Shangela's latest passion project is learning to cook! "Call me Chef Shangie," she says with a laugh, admitting that most of her education comes from YouTube videos -- but she's getting better every day! Her true passion is acting, and You can catch her in two upcoming films, "Hurricane Bianca," which premiered in NYC on September 19, and "Kiss Me, Kill Me," in which she plays a drag hypnotist.

Trixie, the "queen with the sensible nails," flutters her four-inch pink claws theatrically in front of her painted-on cheekbones. Use your hands for playing an instrument, learning to cut your own bangs, or filling out employment forms, she said. Trixie, who recently wrote an op-ed sharing her personal story and connection to This Free Life, spent her summer performing at The Post Office in Provincetown!

Manila, confidently shaking back her trademark black tresses with the white skunk stripe made famous on Season 3, says, "Hair. I'm known for that." When she was young and still living with her parents in Minnesota, she'd sneak out to perform in the clubs. But the funk from her wig and clothes nearly threatened to give her secret away! These days, Manila is more interested in working with kids, recently teaching them Filipino folk dances for an event in Minnesota. She's also been promoting the new chat app Moovz, recording the podcast #WhatsTheTee, and taking photos with Magnus Hastings for the book "Why Drag?"

Season One star Tammie, who resurfaced in a later edition of "RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race," said her best feature is "my smile!" She is now a fixture in the So-Cal drag scene, and donates her time to protecting the endangered Orca.

Tammie has been spending her time hosting parties like Blow Pony in Portland, Oregon, booking new shows in the UK for Halloween, and then to Brazil. She'll even return to NYC in March 2017 for her show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. In the meantime, she's debuted her Rag Queens dolls, made of all recycled materials -- including her own pantyhose. They're on backorder now and selling like hotcakes, perhaps due to Tammie's promise that, "you can own nylons I wore on 'Ru Paul's Drag Race' or at some California cabaret. I can remember where I wore some of them while I'm sewing them up!"
