PopUps: Chelsea Handler Says Bieber Interview Was 'So Uncomfortable'

In promoting her new Netflix docuseries "Chelsea Does," the 40-year-old comedian told Variety Justin Bieber was the worst celeb guest to appear on her E! late night show "Chelsea Lately."

Handler said there were "so many" bad interviews, initially saying she "can't decide" who was the worst, but she eventually settled on the Canadian pop star.

"I mean, Justin Bieber maybe? 'Cause he was trying to flirt with me, and it was so uncomfortable," she said. "Like, that's his schtick. He would come on and flirt with you, and you just felt like a child molester right away."

Us Weekly points out the "What Do U Mean" singer appeared on Handler's talk show, which ran from 2007 to 2014, a number of times. In 2011, when Bieber was 16, the singer was on the comedian's Valentine's Day show giving her a big kiss on the cheek.

When discussing "Chelsea Does," she told Variety that fans shouldn't expect the celeb fanfare her talk show had.

"There will be celebrities, but not, like, celebrity-centric," she told Variety. "I want it to be more well-rounded. I want to talk about everything. It's not going to be one thing. If you're not compelled with what you're doing, it's so transparent and everybody is so annoyed by you."
