Ask An Immigration Lawyer: An Irish-Born Attorney's Own Story
Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Whatever your need for a good lawyer, wouldn't it be nice if the person helping you navigate the maze of logistics, bureaucracy, and legal jargon had some first-hand experience of what you're facing?
GLBT families and individuals facing the daunting hurdles of immigration will find that quality in U.S. Immigration Attorney Caro Kinsella. Born in Limerick and educated in Cork, Ireland, Attorney Kinsella has gone through the immigration process herself and has been living in the US for many years now.
"My first degree was attained at U.C.C. [University College Cork]," Attorney Kinsella told EDGE. "I studied Psychology; it was my first time out of Limerick, which was a great challenge of its own.
"During those years I developed knowledge of topics I was interested in," Attorney Kinsella continued, "and it was during my time at U.C.C. when I decided what I wanted to do with my life in terms of career. While at University, I realized Law was the profession for me; I was heavily involved in debate forums which I attended every Friday. I then went to London and studied law and later began to practice there."
Attorney Kinsella's story continues: "I moved to Florida in 2004, sat the bar exam and became a licensed attorney in the US as well. Emigrating to the States on your own isn't easy; therefore, when I opened my own law practice, I decided to specialize in U.S. Immigration law, giving people the solid advice and guidance I wish I had when I first emigrated."
Caro Kinsella has a sense for just how important it is for people the world over who want to succeed to have a chance to do so.
"With worldwide recession hitting us all, it still seems America is where many Irish people want to be," Attorney Kinsella noted. "My practice currently has many European and GLBT clients, and I enjoy being able to help other GLBT people and guide them in journeys to success here in the U.S."
Attorney Kinsella feels it is her duty is to make sure each client knows their immigration rights, and understands the laws applicable to their individual situations. Caro's knowledge of immigration law and dedication to providing expert service to all of her clients fuels her legal success.
With Attorney Kinsella's expert, "been-there, done-that" guidance, her clients can take heart that their journey, too, will be successful.
