Tanning Mom to Appear in Upcoming Gay Porn

Having exhausted all opportunities on tabloid television, Patricia Krentcil's, AKA the "Tanning Mom," next trip to the limelight is apparently going to be in gay porn - mercifully, she will perform clothed.

Krentcil, 44, was paid a cool $1,000 for a cameo appearance in an episode of Lucas Entertainment's "Kings of New York," TMZ reports, an offer she accepted after being turned down by rival gay porn studio Vivid Entertainment who passed on the Tanning Mom's offers as Vivid's president, Steve Hirsch, told E! News that Vivid does not do "granny porn."

Lucas Entertainment, a New York-based gay porn studio, which was founded by porn star Michael Lucas, produces "Kings of New York," the studio's series about ambitious New Yorkers "who have made it, understood the cost and have sold whatever and whoever they had to." Krentcil isn't the first "celebrity" to have a cameo in the series: Andy Dick, Lady Bunny and Lucas himself, have all appeared made appearances.

The Huffington Post spoke with Marc MacNamara, the writer and director of "Kings of New York," and MacNamara said the Tanning Mom will appear in an episode of the show's second season. The episode will be about a celebrity and how people who might not have talent, skill or ambition can become famous. He said that Krentcil plays the owner of a tanning salon where the show's main cast visits before heading off to Fire Island.

"We expected Patricia to need a bit of hand-holding, but when she showed up we quickly found out we had to hold more than her hand to prop her seemingly inebriated body up," MacNamara told HuffPo in an email. "She seemed to having a great time, but it was definitely a challenging day. In the end she delivered Tan Mom in all her glory, and that's what people are infatuated with."

Krentcil was apparently inspired to dabble in the porn world after learning about "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham's sex tape with porn star James Deen.

"I see you are trying to buy this sex tape from this Teen Mom, well if you REALLY want to make MONEY then I would agree to let you film me and all my hotness," Krentcil wrote in an email obtained by E! . "Because let's face it I am far MORE popular and WAY HOTTER than Farrah! Men want a cougar and a real woman not a teenybopper. Contact me back if you're ready to talk serious cash and rock the world."

Krentcil made headlines in 2012 after she allegedly took her 5-year-old daughter to a tanning booth.
