Madagascar 3 - Europe's Most Wanted
JC Alvarez READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Is it terrible to envy that the cast of zoo animals from the popular "Madagascar" animated franchise are all much more accomplished world travelers than most of us could ever hope to be? In their latest misadventure "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" the madcap mix of misfits find themselves joining the circus on a cross-country tour through Europe. The previous film's all-star cast including Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith are back, this time joined by an entirely new set of Hollywood heavy-hitters.
Taking up right where the last Madagascar left audiences, our heroes come up with a plan to get them back to New York City -the plan includes a trip to Monte Carlo, a stop off in Paris, a skip through London and a circus full of stars!
It's no surprise that the film, now delivered in pristine high-definition on Blu-ray, was one of the biggest box-office hits of the season. Packed with interactive bonus features including a film trivia feature and music mash-up, there's enough to keep both parents and kids -and the dedicated film buff entertained for days...and the UltraViolet digital download let's you take the madness with you on long trips!
Where most animated adventures stylistically work to make the cartoon characters as textured and photo-realistic as possible, the characters in Madagascar pay proper homage to the classic slapstick of animation legend Tex Avery. The exaggerated expressions -full-blown eye balls and fast-moving feet -are never too over the top. It enhances the hilarity from beginning to end.
