The National Park Foundation and Macy's Work Together for Mother's Day Philanthropy

Washington D.C. - The National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks, and Macy's are giving people the opportunity to thank moms everywhere - including Mother Earth!

Between now and May 13, the public is invited to visit www.facebook.com/macys to thank mothers across the globe with a free, personalized Facebook message in honor of Mother's Day 2012. Users should select the National Park Foundation as their charity of choice. For every message that is sent, Macy's will donate three dollars in the recipient's honor to the National Park Foundation. Individuals can send up to 30 messages a day through both Facebook and email.

Macy's will donate up to $400,000 total to selected non-profits. The National Park Foundation is one of five mom-approved charities that Macy's will contribute to as part of the "Thank a Mom" movement.
