AIDS Project RI Signing Restaurants for Dining Out for Life

PROVIDENCE, RI - AIDS Project RI is looking to the state's hospitality industry for help in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Across the nation AIDS organizations will be benefiting from restaurants donating a portion of their proceeds on Thursday, April 26 as they participate in what's called Dining Out for Life �.
In Rhode Island, AIDS Project RI will be the beneficiary, and is currently looking for restaurants to participate.
"It's a great way to promote AIDS Project RI and our participating restaurants," said Thomas Bertrand, AIDS Project RI's executive director. "Last year we had over 40 restaurants participate from all across the state. We're so thankful for their support. We're hoping to sign up over 50 restaurants this year!"
The concept is simple: diners eat at participating restaurants on Thursday, April 26. Those restaurants donate a portion of sales to AIDS Project RI. "Friends, families, co-workers use it as an opportunity to get together for a night out," he said.

Long-term New Yorkers, Mark and Robert have also lived in San Francisco, Boston, Provincetown, D.C., Miami Beach and the south of France. The recipient of fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center, Mark is a PhD in American history and literature, as well as the author of the novels Wolfchild and My Hawaiian Penthouse. Robert is the producer of the documentary We Are All Children of God. Their work has appeared in numerous publications, as well as at : www.mrny.com.
