Anthony's Kitchen: Pepperoni Bread

Hi and welcome to Anthony's Kitchen, with me Anthony Caltabiano. Each week I will bring you a great recipe that's fun, easy and looks good. This week I am going to create one of my favorite crowd pleasers, Pepperoni Bread. It's one of those dishes that looks impressive and looks like you spent hours in the kitchen when really you didn't. It's simply a rolled pesto pepperoni pizza, and who doesn't love pizza?!


3.5 oz Quality pesto sauce
8 oz Pepperoni, diced small
8 oz Shredded mozzarella
14 oz Pizza dough
Flour for dusting.
Olive oil to brush

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle your work surface with flour as well as the pizza dough and begin stretching dough. Layout dough in half sheet tray and continue spreading it to a rectangular shape. Remember to use a pizza dough from a pizzeria where you actually like the pizza they serve.

Spoon and spread pesto onto your dough. Pesto sauce is not difficult to make but there are so many good ones you can buy today. So why not make your life easier.

Also you can purchase pre-diced pepperoni at the grocery store, if not buy a stick and dice it up yourself. Sprinkle the pepperoni evenly over the pesto and cover evenly with the cheese. Roll and twist bread tightly keeping the folded side down on the ends. Lightly brush with oil and bake for approximately 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cut and serve while hot.
