Come Out With Pride Enters The Home Stretch

Wednesday September 29, 2021

The following is a press release from Come Out with Pride 2021:

Come Out With Pride 2021 Presented by The Glass Knife is soon to return to Lake Eola Park on Saturday, October 9 with Pride Week events taking place between Friday, October 1 and Sunday, October 10.

As part of our safety measures against COVID-19, we ask that all those who plan to attend our events wear a mask, RSVP for free on our website, get vaccinated if possible, and stay home if experiencing coronavirus symptoms. Bliss Health will be providing COVID vaccinations on site at the Vendor Marketplace Presented by Truist and sanitizer stations will be available throughout the park. Many events of the day will be streamed for those who won't participate in person but still want to get into the spirit of Pride.

"This year's theme of 'Unified By Pride' was chosen to represent our incredibly diverse community celebrating together once again," said Tatiana Quiroga, Executive Director for Come Out With Pride. "We look forward to ensuring our LGBTQ+ community remains visible and that more allies join us in our fight for equality."

The Most Colorful Parade Presented by Winn Dixie is set to step off at 4PM led by Grand Marshals Blue Star (local businesswoman and entertainer), Brandon Wolf (Pulse survivor and activist with Equality Florida), Chelsea Wolfe (UCF alumnus and the first out transgender Olympian), Felipe Sousa-Lazaballet (City official and One Orlando Alliance Board Chair) and Trina Gregory-Propst (local restaurateur and winner of Guy's Grocery Games).

Following incredible local entertainment throughout the day, in the evening the Lake Eola Amphitheater will feature two headliners from RuPaul's Drag Race as both Gottmik from Season 13 and the winner of All Stars Season 6 Kylie Sonique Love will grace the stage. The Unified By Pride Stage will host a music festival anchored by DJ and Grammy Award-winning Producer Tracy Young. Wrapping up the night will be the Fireworks by Santore finale over Lake Eola at 9:15PM.

Appearing at a Pride event for the first time, the National Trans Visibility March will kick off with a rally at 1PM at the Unified By Pride Stage followed by the March around the streets of Lake Eola at 2PM.

Those wishing to have the best view of the day's entertainment will want to look into the Pride VIP Experience Presented by PNC and Tito's Handmade Vodka. Various exclusive options are also available including tiers that incorporate a meet-and-greet with Kylie Sonique Love and the Sweets & Sparkles dessert fireworks viewing experience package.
