The LGBTQ community gained another member today as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's youngest daughter Michaela came out as bisexual in an Instagram post.

Celebrating her "queer identity," Michaela, 23, says that she hopes her coming out will inspire others to leave the closet behind and embrace their sexuality.

"Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo is #queer," she began the post. '#HappyPrideMonth to the whole spectrum of sexualities!"

As reported by Daily Mail, Michaela was reportedly unhappy with Instagram for censoring queer content.

"Michaela, who is the daughter of Cuomo's ex-wife Kerry Kennedy, also took aim at Instagram, accusing the photo-sharing app of 'censoring the LGBTQ community' as well as words like 'lesbian and bi', stating that this had 'stripped her ability to find queer content,'" the Daily Mail reports.

"When you strip my ability to find queer content and community, you damn sexual minorities to exist on the internet only as fringe groups to objectify," Michaela explained in a post. "If #bi weren't censored, maybe I could have accessed the information and tools that as a bisexual person I would need to protect myself from increased rates of sexual victimization, homelessness, hunger, unemployment, hate crimes, and mental health challenges."

Gov. Cuomo has yet to comment on Michaela's coming out, but she has made it clear that she has her parents support. She shared a video of herself rollerblading with her mother while wearing a 'gay for you' cap a few moments before she went live with her coming out post.

Welcome, Michaela!
