Reality TV made Todd Chrisley a star as the centerpiece of "Chrisley Knows Best." Now he is reportedly facing the pitfalls of fame as a victim of blackmailing and being accused of breaking the law, reported Daily Mail.

After a gay affair with a business partner Mark Braddock, the romance reportedly went sour and the secrets began to spill, including how Braddock helped Chrisley commit fraud.

In an Atlanta court, Braddock testified that the pair tried to stay friends and formed a "brotherhood" after the affair but it all blew up in 2012.

An anonymous source began threatening to expose the relationship and demanded cash payment from the pair.

"Chrisley and Braddock ended up paying their blackmailer $38,000, which Braddock withdrew from the bank in four $9,500 payments, before meeting Chrisley in a parking garage," Daily Mail reports.

Before testifying, Braddock had to tell his wife about the affair, turning the Chrisleys into the FBI for tax fraud and told the jury on Tuesday he did not want to be talking about his affair.

Braddock has also reportedly been granted immunity from the fraud investigation into the Chrisleys.

Chrisley has been married for 26 years to Julie. The pair share five children together: Lindsie, 32; Kyle, 30; Chase, 25; Savannah, 24; and Grayson, 16.

About rumors about him being gay, which until now have been unproven, Chrisley said they didn't bother him. In 2027, Chrisley told the "Domenick Nati Show": "In order for it to disappoint me, it would mean that I don't agree with someone being gay."

He added, "I don't believe that's a choice that you make. I believe that you are the way that God has made you."

Chrisley has yet to comment on the revelations revealed in court.
