Adam Rippon is just a dance away from being crowned champion of the 26th season of "Dancing with the Stars," which is an all-athletes season, and taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

The out Olympic figure skater became a finalist on the show, along with fellow Olympic figure skater (albeit a more controversial one) Tonya Harding and NFL cornerback Josh Norman.

Rippon and his "DWTS" partner Jenna Johnson have been slaying the competition, which is truncated, placing or tying for first every week. In week one, Rippon cha-cha-cha'd to RuPaul's "Sissy that Walk." For week two, he and Johnson did the quickstep to Aloe Blacc's "Make Way" and freestyled to Dan Hartman's "Instant Replay." Last week, he did a contemporary dance to Coldplay's "O." He also had a dance-off, jiving to Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode."

Rippon has beat out a number of athletes, including his Olympic figure skating partner Mirai Nagasu, who was just eliminated from the show.

With Rippon scoring a nearly-perfect 39 score last week, he stands a good chance of winning this season of "Dancing with the Stars." The finale airs next Monday.
