'Queer Eye' Contestant Announced Engagement to Ex-Wife

Tuesday Mar 13, 2018

This has been a rollercoaster of emotions for "Queer Eye" fans.

Tom Jackson, the first contestant to appear in Netflix's rebooted series, announced his engagement to his ex-wife Abby after revealing last month that the two have officially split.

Taking to Twitter on Feb. 27, Jackson told fans he and Abby, who he reconnected with thanks to the encouragement of the Fab Five on the "Queer Eye" episode, were "no longer together." The news sparked a strong reaction from fans, who expressed their disappointment.

But things turned around last week when Jackson revealed he and Abby were seeing each other again. And of course, "Queer Eye" fans reacted with delight.

The news for Jackson, Abby and the fans following their journey just got even better as Jackson announced he and his ex-wife are now re-engaged!

"It's official, Abby and I are engaged," Jackson, a trucker driver from Georgia, tweeted with a photo of himself and Abby. He also said he wanted the Fab Five to be his groomsmen at the ceremony.

"What a Netflix special [that] would be. If the Fab 5 planned and attended our wedding!!!!!!!!!" he added. "Everyone is welcome to come to the wedding. I'm praying that the Fab 5 can find time in their busy schedules to come. I'd love for Bobby [to] be best man and the other 4 to be my grooms men. Chandler will be my ring bearer."

Of course fans were thrilled over the news. Find the best responses below.

This isn't the only engagement to come out of "Queer Eye." Last month AJ Brown, who appeared on the fourth episode of the show where the Fab Five helped him come out as gay to his stepmother, announced he plans to marry his boyfriend.
